The Yoga Teacher Training with MA&Y was wonderful. Gaia's passion for the subject is palpable and the joy that she channels is infectious. Her extensive teaching experience gives her an exceptional platform to train the teachers of the future. She is positive, open to dialogue and other points of view. The training group was such a lovely collection of people it is an experience I will never forget. Some of the experts were incredible, for me, Catherine was stand out in her breathing and meditation sessions. This 200 hours was the perfect vehicle for me and has literally changed my life.

I really enjoyed the 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training with MA&Y. The course was extremely well planned and taught by dedicated and experienced teachers. Gaia, the lead teacher is extremely patient, attentive and accommodating. The classes were fun but in the same time a lot of knowledge was passed on. Progressive learning about asanas together with pranayama, anatomy and philosophy gave me a better understanding of what yoga is and how I can incorporate what I have learnt in my own practice and when teaching others. I have met amazing people that motivated and supported me. Thank you, MA&Y for this great experience!

From the moment I heard about the MA&Y Yoga Teacher Training course, I knew it was the one for me. I had researched a few different training courses, but Gaia’s confident approach really struck me as supportive and positive. Having been a student of Gaia’s for some time, I knew that her style resonated with me and that I would be proud to become a yoga teacher under her wing! Undertaking a yoga teacher training was nerve-wracking, even with years of yoga experience behind me, but I knew I was in good hands with Gaia and the faculty of experts she had lined up to teach us. The syllabus has been broad, ranging from the essentials of anatomy and the postures, to the fascinating topics of meditation and pregnancy yoga. There have also been opportunities within each module to deepen the knowledge that has come before, building a strong understanding on a good foundation. From the start, Gaia established us as a community of trainees, and reassured us that the learning would all come together in the end. She was right! Starting the course feels daunting and you can’t imagine having the confidence to teach, but all of a sudden, one day, you do! The support from Gaia, her assistant teacher Demelza, and that of the other trainees, has been unwavering. I am so grateful that this course was available and is the one I chose. I am excited and proud to become a MA&Y trained yoga teacher.

Having assisted on MA&Y’s teacher training course for 18months, I can honestly say it is one of the most in-depth and relevant trainings available.
As course leader and developer, Gaia has chosen to include the real, practical aspects of yoga teaching today, along with a deep dive into yogic philosophy, anatomy and asana. The course is delivered by experts in the field, counting world-class yoga historians amongst its faculty. It includes essential modules on business, voice work, meditation and yoga for pregnancy so that whether you’re planning to deepen your knowledge of the practice or are studying for your future career, you can be confident in your chosen path, creating life-long friends along the way.

It has been an interesting and wonderful 18 months of learning. Gaia ensured that the learning was relevant to a teaching practice, and with her ability to call on specialist subject gurus such as Chris Swain, Christopher Hareesh Wallis and Carlos Pomeda across the syllabus, a wide basis of knowledge was made available and gratefully received by all the class. Gaia and her team (Demelza) alongside the specialists, set-up the classes in such a way that the students were all invited and encouraged to be intuitive, comprehensive and inclusive, which made for a very relatable and deeper understanding of many aspects of the course. Both Gaia and Demelza gave generously of themselves, providing support throughout the period, prompting and advising when required and positively encouraging all students onwards in their own personal development and ensured the learning experience was enjoyed along the way. The course opened my eyes to endless possibilities and provided me with a platform to develop and progress further. I have learned more than I could have imagined.
