    We have full hearts and open minds at MA&Y after an incredible evening spent with award-winning author and cardiologist Dr Kavitha Chinnaiyan, exploring how to embrace our creative energies and discardthe restrictions of societal conditioning. Our studio was filled with yoginis, some of whom travelled from far overseas for this one-of-a-kind event; Dr Kavitha's only London workshop this year!   • A journey to the soul with Father Joe Pereira - 23rd/24th May 2023

    We were recentlyso honoured to welcome Father Joe Pereira to MA&Y for a 2 day workshop on the teachings of the Kripa Foundation Iyengar Yoga. Father Joe Pereira is the founder of the Foundation which helps those affected by substanceabuse. He has worked alongside Mother Theresa and was a student and friend of BKS Iyengar. His workshops expand one's understanding of the spiritual dimension, as he takes us on a journey from the body, in physiology and neurology, through the subtle consciousnessof the soul.     Kida! Our incredibleKrav Maga students were put to the test this weekend as we welcomed ExpertLevel 2 Krav Maga Instructor Linn H E Haraldsvik to our studio for her Back to Wall workshop. Focussing on self defence in confined spaces, this essential workshop taught us how to turn problems into opportunities and the environmentto our advantage! Self defence is all about personal safety and quick thinking. Finding yourself in a self defence situation when cornered or pushed into a wall does not mean game over, and under Linn's expert guidance, we took our ability to deal with attacks of this nature to the next level.
